Teamspeak Tutorials :: How to fix the common echo problems.

Here is a list of things that can help when trying to eliminate echo.
  1. Be sure that you are using an headset and not speakers to play your sounds. The microphone can pickup the sound from the speakers which create a bad echo and sometimes multiple echo.


  2. In rare cases some heaset microphone are very sensitive to sound and if you have your headset volum to high the microphone can pick it up, try lowering your main sound volume.


  3. If people report to you that you are echoing perfect echo of the discussion and even your game sound, it is most likely because your default recording device is not selected correctly.


    1. Click, Start, control Panel, Sound & audio devices and go in the tab "Voice" (Windows XP).



    2. Click the "Volume..." button under the recording section and be sure that the Select box under Microphone is selected and nothing else.
